The Opportunity

Insuro Recruitment is working with a specialist claims organisation seeking an experienced Specie Loss Adjuster to handle complex and high-value claims involving jewellery, watches, fine art, collectibles, precious metals and other valuable assets.

You will manage claims from initial instruction through to resolution, providing technical advice to insurers, brokers, private clients and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex, high-value specie claims from notification through to settlement.
• Investigate losses involving fine art, jewellery, watches, antiques and collectibles.
• Conduct site visits and assess the cause, circumstances and extent of loss.
• Assess policy coverage, indemnity, valuation and liability.
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, policyholders, solicitors, valuers and other specialists.
• Establish appropriate values and replacement costs for high-value items.
• Identify potential fraud, underinsurance and policy breaches.
• Prepare technical reports and settlement recommendations.
• Negotiate settlements and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Handle sensitive claims involving high-net-worth and private clients.

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Specie, Fine Art, Jewellery, High Net Worth or Private Clients Loss Adjuster.
• Strong knowledge of complex property/specie insurance policies.
• Experience handling high-value and complex claims.
• Excellent investigation, negotiation and report-writing skills.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a specialist team.
• Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.
