Job Description:
Insuro Recruitment are currently working with a leading loss adjusting business to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Adjuster to join their expanding team in Scotland.
Location: Glasgow / Edinburgh – Remote
Working Pattern: Home-based, with the option to work from the Glasgow office
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Manager, you will be responsible for managing a broad portfolio of commercial property claims from initial investigation through to settlement.
The role will involve a combination of technical claims handling, client and stakeholder management, site-based investigations and business development, with the successful candidate expected to maintain high standards across all technical and operational aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate, negotiate and agree settlement of commercial property claims in a professional and timely manner.
Liaise with insureds, insurers and brokers to achieve effective and appropriate conclusions to claims.
Undertake on-site investigations and damage surveys as required.
Produce clear and accurate reports in accordance with professional standards, internal guidelines and agreed timescales.
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, brokers, clients and other key stakeholders.
Contribute to business development activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
Develop and maintain a strong network across the insurance market.
Support wider projects and undertake ad hoc responsibilities as required.
Ensure all technical and operational policies and procedures are followed, including data protection and information security requirements.
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally hold, or be working towards, a relevant professional qualification and have experience within the commercial loss adjusting sector or a related insurance profession.

Strong commercial property claims experience.
Proven ability in claims investigation, negotiation and settlement.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
The ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally.
A strong focus on quality, accuracy and organisation.
A positive reputation and established relationships within the Broker and Insurer market would be advantageous.
A willingness to travel across the geographical area covered by the role.

The role is primarily home-based, with the flexibility to work from the Glasgow office if preferred. Due to the geographical coverage of the position, travel will be required.
