Assistant Draftsperson
Job Description:
Top Job Recruitment are looking for an Assistant Draftsperson for a Loss Adjusting company based in London, on a hybrid basis.
Our client is a specialist firm focused on the preparation and presentation of factually accurate marine property damage claims. They work closely with shipowners and ship managers, delivering high-quality claims submissions to insurance companies. As a smaller, expert-led team, they offer strong exposure to complex marine claims and a collaborative working environment.
As an Assistant Draftsperson you will join a close-knit team supporting the handling and preparation of marine insurance claims, assisting with documentation, analysis, and communication across multiple stakeholders in the claims process.
Assistant Draftsperson Job Role:
- Assisting Average Adjusters with the day-to-day handling of shipowners’ property claims
- Communicating with clients, brokers, surveyors, and other stakeholders
- Drafting and preparing claims adjustments
- Collating and organising documentation to support claims presentations
- Maintaining accurate digital claims records
- Collecting and reviewing security documentation
- Assessing validity, viability, and relevance of documentation.
- Supporting calculations of values and handling large-scale data.
Assistant Draftsperson Skills Required:
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Minimum Grade 6 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- A-Levels at BBB or equivalent
